Well, the thing is that you're right about not being able to have eachother but.. This story deals with the issue of letting your own happiness ride on that one person. Is it worth it, is it not, do you move on from what was the past or do you desperately cling onto what you have of them- memories.

I dunno, I guess it would depend on how deeply those characters are rooted in the past. The stronger that root the more worth it it'd be for them.

I've always pictured Alice as more elf like, sort of ethereal yet substantial, pixie makes me think of disney. I also prefer statuesque for Rose
