A bit of both. More towards Celtic though.
And Twigon, that's what I'm using for the story. Not sure how accurate they are but I am going to apologize ahead of time to any Irish-speaking readers out there in case I get it wrong.

It was weird when I first read it too, Twigon, but Anam Cara also means soul mate. It's used for Soul Brother, Soul Sister, Soul Friend, Soul Uncle...etc...
