Don't you just find it a bit frustrating when you are writing a story, and you get 50+ alerts/favorites/both but only 2-3 reviews? I mean, if people can take the time to read a whole chapter, then surely they can spare the 2-3 minutes to give feedback on it.

I agree, although personally I find it hard to give a meaningful review for every chapter. Generally I'll review every couple of chapters unless I know the author personally or there's enough content to give a meaningful review.
And I understand it in the first chapter of a story, like in a "I'm not sure if I really like this story but I'll come back again to see if it improves."
All of that to say, I hate it! I hate it! I hate it! I hate it!

I do the same thing with a new story. I try to give feedback for at least 3 out of 5 chapters, because I know it's not always possible to write one for each, especially if you're reading on your phone.

I'd rather one meaningful than a review for every chapter saying, "Great!"
Feedback of any kind is wonderful, but if you're going to take the time to review every chapter with one word, why not just write one big one at the end or not at all?
But I'm not a big reviewer. Sometimes I just don't have anything to say. Does that make me a bad person? (That's a legit question, not sarcasm or rhetorical)

I have so many books/movies that I love, but other than "That was awesome" I can't really come up with something meaningful to say. But then again I know I'm a bad person >.>

I always try to say something more than "great chapter". I love the meaningful reviews, yeah, but I don't mind it if someone just says "great chapter" every time. It irks me a bit, but at the same time it shows that they're interested, at least.

And c'mon we like to see our review count go up. I'm not to ashamed to admit that I'm a hypocrite like that

There should be something that forces people to leave reviews. Hee hee hee.

Right now I'm picturing a big burly guy cracking his knuckles saying "Yous gonna leave a review...or else"

"For every review you don't leave, Team Edward gets a fan" or "each time you neglect to leave a review, a Team Jacob fan will run over a kitten". Or just say "if you don't leave a review, you will be forever banished from reading Bellice stories."

Okay, okay, no kitten hurting. I love kittens. But the others could work. Or bribery.
