Femslashy, called yuri or shoujo-ai (the difference being that shoujo ai is more tamed and less sexual), goodness is common in subtext in Anime.

Anime with girl/girl as canon:
Candy Boy is my personal favorite thats pretty much fluff with SERIOUSLY GOOD ART. A guilty pleasure of mine.

Kanazuki no Miko. Watch the 1st, 8th, 11th (optional) and 12th ep. I love this series.
Aoi Hana. Slow moving.
Revolutionary Girl Utena. Great one, flag ship of shoujo-ai.
Yami to Bôshi to Hon no Tabibito.
Strawberry Panic. The entire cast is lesbian. Enough said.
Kanamemo. Made a bang with its upfront and adorable couple. <3

Subtexty-goodness.
Mai Hime. Its said in the artbook that the two yuri characters 'find happiness' together. Theres plenty of subtext between the entire cast of most female characters.
Saki. Mahjong meets shoujo ai. My personal favorite, even if you don't know mahjong. Watch it for the entire female cast +1 guy, the girl/girl screams at you.

Negima. Long series, youtubing the scenes is much easier.

Had to search high and low for the animation. Such a shame the network decided against the kiss-on-the-lip and made it for the forehead. Still looking for a gif of the forehead that Buffy returns to Faith. :/

I've done some anime fanfiction. To be honest, I think I've done more on Anime fanfiction than Twilight. I just recently got stuck on Twilight because of Bellice. If I was going to write another anime fanfiction, I'd probably have to go and read my Negima fanfiction then pick it up from where I left off.

I'd say that there is a distinct difference in anime/manga fanfics then tv shows/movies fanfic, the former being a bit more diverse in the shows while the latter has more diverse topics and genres of fanfics.
To be honest, I have more anime 'cause I've recently grown into femslash.
