Sitting here looking longingly at the Glee Live tickets. They're so expensive and I'd have to take like 3 days off work to go to the ones in LA. Which I wanna go to...and I'm already taking five days off in June... I think Glee is worth it... *sigh* Let's see if I can't swing this...

Why does everyone like Glee so much?
I don't mean that in a mean way, I'm sincerely curious.

It's fun. People like singing. The line delivery by Jane Lynch is fantastic ("Oh there you are William, I thought I smelled the cookies wafting from the fairies that live in your hair), the side gay comments by Kurt, Santana is a sexy mama you love to hate, and Brittany is just EPIC.
Done with college in 2 days, y'all. GAH!

It's like Disney, but meaner. Awesomely so.
And congrats, Lems. Good job on taking time off and getting congratulated for it! Also, totes jelly. Glee Live isn't coming to Australia *sigh*

Naww, sisterly bonding. And yeah, sad days. I don't even watch Glee, so I should be able to survive, but...It's hard. I just love musicals so much. Maybe because I can't sing for shit

Sometimes I like Glee, because the satire is so biting at times that it just rocks. Other times the satire goes away and it tries to take itself too seriously.

It's a good mix of Hilarrre and serious, me thinks. I can't wait to get to Los Angeles. West Hollywood here I come. Also, to those of you who know what the "Bully Whips" are...if they have the jacket at the concert I'm purchasing that SOB (oh p.s. thanks for showing me how to do that Enj)

I think we've discussed this before, enj, but I like that it takes itself seriously at times. Because gay and trouty mouth jokes are funny and all, but since the show speaks to an extremely broad range of people, it needs to make it known just how it stands on certain issues. So that the jock that laughs at Kurt being so gay might actually reconsider bullying a gay kid when he watches Karofsky do it, or something. Know what I mean? Meh.

We have had this convo on the forum, before, I think. And I love Trouty Mouth.
