Ok bear with me on this. There is a condition called the Stockholm Syndrome. I read about some heiress in the 70's using it as a defense in her trial. What it boils down to is some kidnap victims IF they are treated kindly by their abductors begin to develop an affection and loyalty to very people that snatched them in the first place. Some even go as far as assisting their kidnappers in whatever nefarious plans they had to begin with. When I read this I began to try and think of ways to use it in a fic. The possibilities and combinations are nearly endless. Alice or Bella kidnapped by the Volturi or Victoria are just some examples. For me the story almost starts to write itself in my mind just from the building blocks. I'd like to see this done. Anyways, last thoughts before little Sara goes to bed. Pleasant screams.

The heiress you're looking for is Patty Hearst.
And it doesn't just happen in kidnap victims. It's been seen in hostage situations and abusive relationships.
