I come from a very... posh family. Yknow, a lawyer, nurse going to be a doctor, successful salesmen, those are my siblings not to mention my folks. Which is also why I can't come out to them, "hey! Mum, Pops, you know the perfect little girly girl you've bread me into, yeah? Well im sorta gay now!". I mean, they already gave me hell for quitting pageantry and modeling. u__u
Wish I could wire you the money Sunny but the parentals keep a hawk eye at my spendings. :/

Trot me out as an expert in psychology to state that most current research says it's biological and random at that. And I'll only charge you the friend rate

....Are you serious? Biological and random?
As a chemistry freak, this has got to be outrageous as diamonds spontaneously turning into graphite. Which is true but there's no backing it much. It just... 'happens'. Then?

neroh,
That's a tough situation, but not everyone's that way. Generation X is very accepting. We're here for you, chiquita
haha wire me money? I appreciate the thought!

Yeah, yknow, my bank account to yours. I won't be missing any meals if I give someone 8 bucks, yknow what I'm sayin? The good book says that when He has provided you with abundance, you share it. Again, I come from a Catholic family, hard to tell 'em you're gay.

I'm sure there's a genetic link, but if it were a hereditary trait it would have been selected against before we even had society. And there are at least 3 other mammals that I can think of off the top of my head that have shown to have homosexual individuals.

I understand completely. I can't tell my grandmother because she's Catholic, but you gotta make the most of it.

Right because Darwin says survival of the fittest, which means survival of the species/race and obviously if we were gay that'd lower reproduction rates... I see how you can say its in genetics and random now.
Read somewhere that all girls are bi while guys are either straight or gay. Any comments on that?

Sunny, I think my parents will be doubtful, esp since I'm still single. But if I were to meet the Right one... I think when they're able to see me happy with someone, anyone guy or girl I'm guessing, that nothing else will matter. While they are strict and traditional, my folks are still rooting for my happiness. Gotta love 'em

I disagree with it, but I can see an evolutionary link there as well. Women were alone for long times when the men were out hunting, while the men had to focus on their objective. I have no evidence to back it up.
I think right now it's more societal. Especially with the "just experimenting" mentality that a lot of college aged girls have.

I see how you can say its in genetics and random now. I don't think that's necessarily true. There was evidence of people being gay in the early centuries. The difference is they couldn't act on it or follow it. So people who were gay just did what society wanted. They got married and had a family.

I can see the reasoning but I as well, don't agree. And as to why it happens I try not to think about it as much, I mean, why does it really matter? Its not a disease that kills people, from your phyc. POV I can see why people are studying it but other than that I think people overreact.
I guess the question is is why ladies are more experimental than guys.

I think it's our nature. We are the nurturers.

Well that argument is to say that if it was simply hereditary then it would have been selected against quickly, being as gays are unable to reproduce biologically. Which is where the random mutation idea comes in.
Also I'm going to say we're walking a thin line into Touchy Topics. Because this is a site dedicated to a lesbian couple I'm giving this some leeway, but if it gets too be too much I'm going to call a stop

neroh,
I agree that the why it happens is intriguing but not that important in the grand scheme of things. I won't hurt someone else by loving another woman, so in the end it shouldn't matter.
