So, hi. I'm an old hand at joining forums. Keyword: joining. Beyond that, I tend to forget they exist. So this may be short-lived. Figured I'd do my part as an A/B shipper, however.
But! Enthusiasm from the get-go is at least warranted. Long time reviewer on FFnet, short (and I mean really short) story author, and largely devoted to A/B, though a well-written anything can catch my attention.
I was an awful person, and didn't read what this site required in forum introductions. Will take (probably wide) stab in the dark.
Why do I like A/B? Because they're alphabetically compatible. And Alice is short, which is cute. And because Edward is condescending, and condescension is painful. (Though, by that token, could probably pair Bella with anybody but Edward - back to short = cute, I think)
Ashley Greene bugs me, Kristen Stewart bugs me, actually all the actors bug me, save for Rachelle LeFevre, because she's a redhead, and redheads rock. Oh! But Anna Kendrick is awesome. Go her. And, wait, Michael Sheen is pretty nifty as well. Though I've only seen the first film, but I know he's nifty.
Nice to meet you.

Welcome!
Might I ask why they bother you? I know that after the first one, they get more comfortable in their characters and they know people are watching, so they are better.

Well, as with all film adaptations of a book series, creative differences mean that there's no way every viewer can be satisfied. For me, at least, hardly any of the actors handle the characters in the way I imagined, changing the overall tone of a character that I otherwise liked. But it's hard to give each character the time and writing they deserve, when it's focused largely on Bella and Edward and they're limited to a 2 hour time period per film. And I get that. Maybe I should watch the other films, true

Welcome to the madhouse. Our first genderless member! Does that mean you're a cyborg? That'd be wicked. (I kid, of course, I mean no offense). I watched the movies first, hence why I like the actors. To each their own.

Technically, it's undisclosed gender, as opposed to genderless. But still! It's kind of cool. I feel super enigmatic Mind, it would be cooler if I were actually a cyborg, Seven of Nine style.

Yes, you are the little ninja, aren't you? I can still see you, though. Seven of Nine? I wonder. What do you mean?

That's me. Silent as the night.
...Voyager? Star Trek: Voyager? There's a character called Seven of Nine, played by Jeri Ryan. She's a cyborg. A super cool cyborg, at that.
And now I have revealed my geek status. Ninja-like, I don't think so.

After reading Eragon first and then watched the movie...I knew not to get my hopes up with film adaptations with novels. I think they did the best with Eclipse, but I guess that's because I'm a sucker for those fight scenes intermixed with the romance and the drama.

Oh, Eragon was so painful. So incredibly painful to watch. I understand your hesitance, haha.
I have heard that Eclipse wasn't that bad. Maybe I'll get around to viewing it one day.

Cool, another Eragon fan! (Hollow is one as well, so you fit in nicely).

I think it's more all-round-dragon-fan but close enough, haha
