If it works, then use it. Sometimes there's more important things to deal with than annoying school work.
Of course, I don't use bs much, but when I do, it usually helps.

Not really. We don't actually celebrate until this Sunday. My mom got me a musical Eclipse birthday card with a promise to buy me True Blood Season Three when it comes out, though.
