So, in the 50's/60's there was a puppet road show based off The Hobbit, and the puppets were pretty awesome and smoke came out of their pipes and the dragon blew smoke etc etc, and then when the artist (Bill Johnks or something) got divorced, his wife took half of the puppets, which included all the elves, while Bill kept the dwarves, Smog, Gandalf, the giant spider, Bilbo, and Gollum. Point of this story is they (the husband's half) eventually rocked up in my grandparent's house, have been sitting around for 15-20 odd years, and are now chilling on my dining room table amongst much packaging and little foam peanuts. I'm geeking out majorly. They have little swords and everything! Just thought you guys and your nerdom would appreciate hearing about it  I just saw this...*geekgasms* thatssofuckingcoolCyborgI'muberuberjealous!!!!!! *squeeeeeeeeeeeeee* |

Gandalf has a hat and did have a staff that lit up (though we've had him for a while so has been leant out somewhere), but we have no clue where the staff is. Or the pipes that they all used to smoke *sigh* With actual smoke, you guys. They have tiny tubes running into their mouths, and Smog's as well. All pretty exciting, haha. And there is Roac, the raven, too. Though he's so old now he just looks like a mess of feathers. Unfortunately they're all pretty messed up. Though Bilbo's not doing too badly Has disgustingly hairy feet and everything. |
