Lol!! I'm personally still in the early stages of coming out! haha! I guess you can tell that from my drawings....oops! Where I live it's not exactly gay-central here! so it gets pretty lonely sometimes. I knew I was 'different' when I was in high school- when I wasn't having the same "madly-in-love" feelings like all my girl friends were having with their boyfriends, it just never felt right to me. I still had boyfriends because that was the norm! and I was kind of in denial! But once I left college I decided to come out to my friends and they were ok with it! Some were a little shocked...but some knew before me!!! (Nice for them to tell me!!) My family are still thinking I'm going through "the phase!" and also trying to set me up with my best guy-friend......(not gonna happen ...EVER!- and he knows this!) They're not exactly taking it very well haha!! So I don't really bring it up around them because it makes them uncomfortable! Hopefully they'll come round to the idea soon.... although they watched Black Swan recently....and just looked at me to say "And THATS what you want??".....You all know what I'm talking about!! xx |
