That's Alice's initial thought, but she only reveals that after they fall in love.
And only the kids feed from people, Esme on occasion. It's not like all of them enjoy what they do. Carlisle hates it, hence why he drinks from packets of blood instead of people. Some of them have just accepted the fact that they're monsters and revel in it.

You are correct, those three have merely grown accustomed to feeding from humans. They no longer have a problem with it and just do it. That's not to say that the three of them are cruel or evil because they aren't, they just see no way around being what they are.
