So I spent a good long time doing a detailed outline as to what I wanted 'Riddles' to be, what I wanted in each chapter etc. My original plans included one OC, a small perky vampire named Adrielle, redheaded with the personality to match and a hidden and perhaps menacing past. Soooooo I was watching TV and Warner brothers cartoons came on. I watched one about a french skunk of all things and suddenly my OC Penelope was born, fully developed, almost Minerva like. Now people LOVE Penelope and I guess it's going to push my story, at least temporarily, in a direction I had not planned.

Yup, inspiration is a sonofabitch sometimes. It just kind of comes down and slaps you across the face. Though I can say that it's never happened because of Pepi lePew

I knew the name of the skunk, too. Being born in the 90's and all, you get used to the Warner Bros. cartoons. Like Animaniacs.
*clears throat* But yes, that happens to me too. I just watch something and then I"ll be like "Oooh, I should have my character do that" or "Oh my gosh, that could happen to so-and-so."

I was born in the 90's. I must have led a sheltered life.

Pepi le Pew is far older than the 90's but my grandparents had a bunch of tapes of old Warner Bro's cartoons for when I'd visit.

Yes, I know that, but they did play those cartoons more in the 90's than they do now.

I know, I was so sad when Cartoon Network took them off the air.
Cartoons aren't fun anymore. I remember my parents laughing at cartoons when I was growing up, new cartoons don't make me laugh anymore.

You mean the best cartoons ever?! The stuff kids watch now is just horrifying. I really really need Netflix now. *contemplates scheme to get Netflix back*

Begging my brother would not do me any good in the long run. Stealing change might be effective...

That would require some form of income. My occupation is student. I have somehow managed to fall victim to the sham that you should pay someone else thousands of dollars a year for you to work your butt off and freeze in -2*F weather...

Well, then I'm guessing you might get some money for food, gas etc. Learn the art of the starving college student. No food but awesome stuff ;D
