Seriously megster, I'd like to be able to answer questions directed to me, okay? Please?
Now the fun is ruined because I can't explain anything. Sigh.

Sorry Hollow...I didn't realize. My mistake. I don't know all of the details anyway so I wasn't going to go into anymore details than that...

So would you like to explain now, or has the moment passed?

I can explain now, sure.
As she said, it's an original version of Blood Solstice. Removing everything Twilight involved and keeping the things that I used for the vampires that I created (the feralness, the mating aspect, the glowing, the limb reattaching, cracks-in-the-skin from injury, healing, "sleeping", etc.) while adding in new stuff to make them even more original.
And yes, the plotline will be similar. Human running away from vampires runs into a coven of vampires that live amongst humans and ends up staying with them. There are a lot of differences, such as the fact that there's no clairvoyant vampire already knowing that the girl will become her mate, the main character being wary of the vampires and not opening up as fast as she did, that sort of thing. Mostly a lot of small things aside from the original characters in the story. The only characters of mine (so far) that are being used are Amara (since she's quite popular) and Arthur and Sophie, though the latter two are renamed and altered a bit.
There's no shapeshifters (the way they were in Twilight, since there will be some vamps who can change their form), so that whole section won't exist in this book. I will have werewolves appear at some point, but the werewolves won't be the vampire's greatest enemy like they generally are. There will also be vampire hunters (my take on them), and I am considering using werecats and banshees too. But that's food for thought for later.
I'd say the biggest difference between this and Blood Solstice are the characters. I'm taking elements from the way I characterized them in BS (the "Bella" isn't the brightest bulb, but she's tough and she's not afraid to speak her mind, the "Alice" is cocky and somewhat conceited, the "Edward" is witty and playful, so on). I've been working really hard on giving each character their own background and their own personality to make them interesting, whether it's adding in a faith, a power, who changed them or just a theme song that fits them.
If there's one thing I'd want this to be known for (if I can finish it), it's the characterization.
It's still a romance story with action, drama and fantasy elements sewn in and the main pairing is still girl/girl, but I'll have a few guy/guy pairings (they need some love too) and straight ones, naturally.

Lol sure glad you got to get your explanations in, HG. I was worried, only seeing 7 paragraphs, that the moment had passed as well and nothing would be shared

If anyone wants to know more, feel free to ask. I won't spoil too much, but I'll answer questions. It's been my main focus for the past week or so. I'm going to continue on it this week before I allow myself to go back to writing my fan fictions. I want to see how far I can get.

I don't know, it was in hardback, I just thought the idea was interesting. Steampunk meets Urban Fantasy.
